My Blueberry Forest

Since we all are more or less isolated these days, and it's still restricted were we can go, I find it helpful to walk down the memorylane (once again) to keep my spirits up. Since we can't do everything we would normally do, what I can do, is dream about things I want to do and look back to all the good times we've had. And maybe plan some new adventures, maybe in smaller scales, but these days even a trip to a new forest trail nearby is an adventure enough. So, I want to take us back to last summer, to a trip we took to Koli Finnish national park. Located in Lieksa, pretty near Joensuu city. The views are spectacular from Ukko-Koli, and it's very easy access to the mountain top, you can park your car very close and just walk 10 min. up the hill and the beautiful view is yours to enjoy.   Although this neverending November feels like it has been part of our lives for way too long now, summer is just around the corner (hopefully). Can't wait for the nature to come alive again and see all the pretty colors ! Look at that ocean, what a perfect color of blue.  Although we've almost won the battle against the dark and grey months of the year, I wanted to take a  little head start and look back to last summer. All the beautiful colors and the warm summer light that we all get to see once again. These picturese are from last August when we took a road trip to sunny Pori and Yyteri beach which is about 6 hours drive away from home. A summer expedition at its best. We went camping on the beach. We thought about renting an airbnb home there, but stayed one night with friends and desided to sleep one night outdoors since the weather was nice.
